An Inspiring Spirit of Giving:

Helen Jewett was a tremendous local philanthropist who supported many organizations across the Yakima Valley. Helen passed away at the age of 94 in 2008; her will included the distribution of $14 million to local nonprofits. Helen wanted to empower youth voice in the Valley to be philanthropist, and a gift from her estate established the Youth Leadership Council.
