Yakima Valley Rural Leadership

We are no longer accepting applications for the Spring 2017 Cohort as we have reached capacity.  We are accepting applications for the wait-list and encourage you to apply using the form at the bottom of this page.

The Foundation identified through its strategic framework a goal of investing in community cohesion and civic engagement.  The Board recently approved a significant investment in support of rural leadership – critically important to our community – specifically in the Lower Valley.  The Foundation partnered with Rural Development Initiatives, a long-time leader in building rural capacity through leadership. The recent publication of the Washington State Leadership Scan  identified gaps in leadership cultivation across the state and further identified that these gaps are more pronounced in rural areas.
