We used these funds to support staff costs in our Family Program for patients and their families as they entered and completed our Intensive Outpatient Programs throughout the Yakima Valley. During the course of the year, we had the Intensive Outpatient Program active in all four locations (Yakima, Wapato, Toppenish and Sunnyside). Several of those offices had two (and on occasion three) full Intensive Outpatient Programs going most of the year.
Our retention rates and completion rates remained high. Patient satisfaction surveys indicated that patients were overall very happy with the services that they received. Our Family Programs numbers were at an all time high this year, with over 400 families have some level of involvement in the program. Funds were appreciated and helped us to continue with efforts to provide holistic alcohol/drug services to the communities of the Yakima Valley.
We did accomplish the intent of the grant and even exceed our expectations in numbers of family members served. The Intensive Outpatient Programs meet three time weekly in each office, with the Family Program provided once weekly. Family Members are encouraged to attend the program where they receive counseling and education and are offered opportunities to meet individually with the IOP Counselor and their respective Family. As indicated earlier numbers of Family Members reached new highs this year, in part due to the funds provided by this grant.
