Education

On Time Completion of High School (since 2010-2011):
  • Mid Valley 82.2%, increasing from 78.2%
  • Upper Valley 80.7%, decreasing from 81%
  • Lower Valley 78.4%, increasing from 69.4%
  • Yakima County 76.6%, increasing from 72%
  • City of Yakima 73.6%, increasing from 65.9%

 

Health

During 2014, the share of adults who smoke cigarettes in:

  • Yakima County was 14.1%, decreasing from 19.1 in 2004
  • Washington State was 15.5%, decreasing from 18.9% in 2004

Engagement

Voting is a core function of civic engagement:

  • Voting registration in Yakima County increased by 3.5% from 2015-2016
